"B-Sticky"!!!This is Brian Meslar, a.k.a. B-Sticky! Through all his efforts in the realm of performance and entertainment, he has learned the work and full commitment that goes into every. single. angle.Where B-Sticky’s efforts have landed him thus far is doing work and making art that has had the most overwhelmingly positive audience responses! Audiobook Narrating/Engineering has become his main line of work, while he has been pouring commitment into his Beatbox/looping music performance. Both have had regular moments of audience members urging B-Sticky to never stop doing what he does. Now- over 150+ audiobooks and countless beatbox performances later… he is finally just starting to feel like he is scraping the surface of mastery.Even though getting recognition enough to turn the passions into a full time job has been tricky thus far- B-Sticky has not hesitated. With some of his biggest concerts/shows being fully self-orchestrated, he will keep creating performance art and enriching the lives of those who grace him with their attendance, knowing the rest of the world will catch on before too long. Until then, he will curate impeccable vibes and celebrate his art every step of the way! Website: brianstickmeslar.comIG: @bst1cky_______With "Secondhand Talent", we want to devote a platform to taking moments to shine the spotlight on those that manage the spotlights. • "Bigger Fish To Fry (Part II)" wsg The Big Fish
Send us a textWelcome to Season 4, Episode 13, of "Secondhand Talent: The Podcast"!!! We're so happy we're here and so, so incredibly grateful for all of your love and support along the way. On behalf of all of us here at Secondhand Talent, Steiner & Steener - WE LOVE YOU, FRANDS!!!This week we have the pleasure of releasing to you the second part of the Secondhand Talent interview of legendary bouncer, The Big Fish!I want to tell y’all a Little story about The Big Fish… and we’ll tell it as it is - a moshel, as we say in Yiddish - a parable. His grandfather, The Great Fish, once asked Big Fish a question, when he was still relatively Little. The Great Fish was from the old country, one of the first off the boat from what is now Ukraine. A tough Jew that survived the annihilation of his Shtetl when the Cossacks cleaned house on the Czar’s resources before the Bolsheviks could get their hands on the horses they raised. (add Ed. note - read “Animal Farm”)The Great Fish knew the Little Fish wasn’t like the other kids in the family. He was quiet, reserved, and unflappable. He would do things the other kids wouldn’t, because he could keep his mouth shut and absorb any consequences. The Great Fish, as he pointed at the Little one's forehead, asked: “If you are asked the question, can you say ‘yes’?”The Little Fish just looked at him, sitting in his Queen Anne chair with his legs crossed, without an answer. The Great Fish struck fear into as many people as he helped when the coin was flipped.__________As a bouncer, that question worked out for The (now) Big Fish. For he learned: “all he had to do to fit a stereotype also defines what fair play is”. For, after three mostly fucked-up decades, he had a settling: No more tough guy shit. It’s better to be endearing and sincere. To help the underdog without question. As his work is glued to getting musicians and their fans a deeper cut, The Big Fish’s efforts have evolved into the humanity of it all. If someone makes music, that is what they need to be doing. If The Big Fish’s efforts to get them paid what keeps them on stage and not stuck in a job they hate that keeps them from making music, then he will shakedown whomever he has to to make sure the musicians stay on stage doing what they love.Since he doesn’t give a fuck about personal affirmation for doing his job, he’ll save that shit until we talk. A personal conversation has more gravity in this world than a photo-op. The more we talk, the more we learn. Support the showFeel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or DM us on IG to be on the show!!!With "Secondhand Talent", we want to devote a platform to taking moments to shine the spotlight on those that manage the spotlights.
